Since June2017 the presence of the dwarf surf clam has often been reported in the Dutch coast waters (a.o. Craeymeersch et al., 2019) and since January 2019 also on the Belgian beaches between Bredene and Knokke (Kerckhof, 2019; Vansteenkiste, 2021; Bauwens, 2021).
