The samples were taken in October and December 1999 and April 2000. The catch consisted mainly of small crustaceans; hyperbenthic calanoids dominated, among them <i>Bradyidius</i> sp., <i>Diaixis hibernica</i> and <i>Tharybis macrophthalma</i>. <i>Xanthocalanus minor, X. fallax</i>, the cyclopoid <i>Thespesiopsyllus paradoxus</i> and monstrilloids were also caught in the trap, but in smaller numbers. These species are little known and they are rarely caught in other devices.
