Nicolò harbour mouth. Since then, the presence of this species has no longer been reported neither in the Venice lagoon nor in other sites of the Mediterranean sea. However this species is actually present and quite widespread in the Venice lagoon, as indicated by a number of individuals we caught between 1991 and 2017, totalling 29 specimens.
