A total of 14 species are recorded from the Czech Silesia for the first time, 10 are new additions to the fauna of Moravia of which 6 are also new for the whole of the Czech Republic. Two species (both Tachinidae) represent first records from Poland and <i>Egle anderssoni</i> Michelsen, 2009 from the Závada sand-pit is the first from Central Europe. The affinity of the recorded species to sandy habitats is discussed.
