E. Gray, 1850 (1815) and the order Pteropoda Cuvier, 1804, newly recorded from India. The species are <i>Diacavolinia deshayesi</i> van der Spoel, Bleeker &amp; Kobayasi, 1993; <i>Diacavolinia grayi</i> van der Spoel, Bleeker &amp; Kobayasi, 1993; <i>Diacavolinia mcgowani</i> van der Spoel, Bleeker &amp; Kobayasi, 1993 and <i>Diacavolinia strangulata</i> (Deshayes, 1823). These pteropod species were collected from sediment samples in the Nicobar Islands during the voyage of FORV Sagar Sampada (Cruise No. 292).
