The \"staircase\" and \"intermittent\" types of multifrontal internal structure are separated. The main mesoscale features of this structure are described and the thermohaline characteristics of frontal zone structures are studied. The percentage of the mesoscale eddies of different types is investigated. The crossfrontal eddy heat and salt transport is estimated.
