The testis was found to consist of mitotic spermatogonia (Ist maturity stage) and the ovary of cytoplasmatic oocytes at 1 and 2 developmental steps (IInd stage). During the oceanic life period gonads were examined in fish up to 4 years old. The final oogenesis period (completion of maturation) was observed in oceanic females.
