Taxa originally described by Rogers (1902) from Missouri and Kansas, USA are reevaluated. A lectotype is herein designated for <i>Missouriclus communis</i><strong>new genus</strong> and new combination and modern images are provided for <i>Pavelskine packardi</i><strong>new genus</strong> and new combination. Renewed interest in this unusual arthropod group has brought new specimens to light, increasing the known generic diversity for the group.
