The variability of both its shell morphology and its animal&nbsp;chromatism is displayed. <i>Gibberula redferni</i> is proposed to belong to the species&nbsp;group of <i>G. ubitaensis</i> Espinosa &amp; Ortea, 2000, as defined by McCleery (2009).
