H. Beddome between 1858 and 1874. Original material corresponding to the untypified names <i>Impatiens akka</i> Bedd., <i>I. ballardii</i> Bedd., <i>I. crenata</i> Bedd., <i>I. gracilis</i> Bedd., and <i>I. tenuis</i> Bedd. were traced. Lectotypes are designated here after the critical analyses of protologues and examination of original materials, in accordance with Article 9.3 of the <i>Madrid Code</i>. The results indicates that only one name is currently accepted, whereas the remaining four represent heterotypic synonyms of previously established taxa.
