We consider waves forced by a two-dimensional tidal potential in a finite-depth domain, considering the full (nontraditional) Coriolis force, nonhydrostatic effects, and contribution from higher-order harmonics. We provide formulas for the vertical velocity, form drag, and conversion rate of inertia-gravity waves. Overall, including the nontraditional Coriolis force enhances the conversion rate and torque of inertia-gravity waves and extends the range of latitudes that can support them. Inertia-gravity waves under nontraditional rotation exhibit weaker suppression of the conversion rate in the low-depth limit, and weaker nonacoustic effects in the rapidly rotating limit at low latitudes.","AbstractOtherLang":null,"BibLvlCode":"AS","StandardTitle":"Inertia-gravity wave dissipation and form drag.
