Report is given about annual variations and about the long-term development in numerical abundance. The species <i>Nucula nitidosa, Tellina tabula</i> and <i>Cultellus pellucidus</i> have been studied more intensively. <i>C. pellucidus</i> and <i>T. tabula</i> were found to breed in summer with the breeding season of the latter species being more prolonged. The reproduction of <i>N. nitidosa</i> starts in late summer lasting till spring. Large animals of <i>C. pellucidus</i> (30 mm length) and <i>T. tabula</i> (20 mm) are supposed to be 2-3 years old, whereas <i>Nucula</i> specimens of 9 mm length are about 5 years old. Data on growth are presented.
