Each formula is then used to determine friction loss in slurry pipelines. The study evaluates the effect of each equation on the value of friction loss. Results are presented first as a function of slurry velocity, and then as a function of particle diameter. They are later compared with experimental data available in literature. It is found that there is a considerable difference between friction loss values yielded by those terminal velocity equations.
