The relations between pyloric stomach and pyloric canals are subjected to important modifications, such as the size of the cardiac stomach. The authors describe a 'superior stomacal complex' a very special organ observed in 3 starfish spp supposed microphagous. The alkaline phosphatase has been titrated in all the digestive organs. The pyloric caeca show a rather strong activity, but the activity is most important at the level of 'superior stomacal complex'.
