W. part of the neritic region in the Gulf of Lion (Banyuls-sur-mer). For each group a separate publication has been given. The planktonic copepods, which represent one of the essential elements of secondary production, are the topic of the present study. 2 main spp have been particularly studied for a whole yr, <i>C. typicus</i> and <i>T. stylifera</i>.
