This paper shortly describes some of these activities and presents the management approach that is followed for some of the concrete problems raised by these activities. An initial brief description of the hydrodynamic model used operationally is followed by links with various problems (oil pollution, sediment transport, sand and gravel extraction and functioning of the ecosystem).
