Growth of the keyhole limpet <i>F. maxima</i> was studied using Walford and von Bertalanffy's methods, based on size frequency and shell growth rings. Six size classes and eleven growth rings were detected in the population under study. Considering that there was coincidence among mean size of the age classes and mean size of some growth rings, it was assumed that<i> F. maxima</i> could form two growth rings each year, as <i>F. crassa</i> does. So, rings II, IV, VI, VIII, X, and XII were considered as annual growth rings.
