At Etreta, the species lives as a stygobiont, in the interstitial of a thick layer of gravel in the intertidal zone between HWN and LWN marks. At this place, a strong resurgence of fresh water discharges, causing large fluctuations in the salinity of the habitat, from almost fresh during ebb to fully marine during flood.
