A detailed description of the mature stolons was made. The egglaying occurred spontaneously and yielded variable larvae which could be reared until the post-larval stages. The rearing of the juveniles was discontinued as soon as the specific characteristics had been clearly established. The emission of gametes proceeds from stolons of the architomic type without production of a hatching sac. The trochophore stage is pelagic. Provided with a narrow polystic prototroch, the larva soon gets paired eyes and leads a pelagic lecithotropic life.
