In the transects, as well as in the pools, the distribution has a very similar pattern and there is a relationship with the behaviour of the cirripeds. The rock surface, the humectation and the direct radiation are important factors affecting the distribution of <i>L. neritoides</i> but their importance is not the same in the whole transect.
