The demersal fishes are not abundant on this bottom. <i>Trisopterus minutus, Callionymus lyra</i> and <i>Echiichthys vipera</i> are the most important benthic fishes. The analysis of the stomach contents of the 13 main species shows that the fishes feed on the macrobenthic fauna especially crustacean amphipods. Polychaetes and bivalves are only secondary preys. Trawls have been executed before and after the Amoco Cadiz oil spill with and without important<i> Ampelisca</i> populations. So this study shows that the fishes adapt their food items in relation to the available preys.
