Two generations are present from the end of January to March-April, and only one afterwards; so, the whole of the population is renewed in about three months. The sex-ratio is in equilibrium except during the final period of migration when males are dominant. A statural dimorphism exists in favour of males (except for the case of mature females). During the first months of the gobies' life in Mauguio, growth is equal or inferior to those recorded in Atlantic, but performances after 12 months become greater.
