It is the first record of a <i>Gnosonesima</i>-species from the Mediterranean. The pharynx and the genital organs are extensively described at the light microscopic level from 1 µm Epon sections. The male \"accessory organ\" is revealed to be an andro-genito-intestinal connection with a high similarity with the female genito-intestinal connection.
