This mollusc was observed on muddy bottoms covered with dense algal beds mainly composed of <i>Chaetomorpha linum, Gracilaria</i>spp. and the invasive chlorophyta <i>Caulerpa racemosa</i>. Occasionally, <i>M. fimbriata</i> specimens were found in proximity to mussel farms.
