Studied taxons include 3 phanerogams and 5 algae. A total of 31 transects 100 m long and 1 m wide were defined all around Berre and Vaïne lagoons. For each studied species, the cover was estimated over 5m² (20 measures along one transect) and the frequency calculated as the number of occurrences on 5 m²-unitary surfaces along the transect. Both data were synthesized into a mean abundance index form which express, on each transect, the species importance. Cluster analysis (by joining clustering and k-means clustering) data allow to identify different sectors in Berre and Vaïne lagoons, characterized by some dominant taxons, and to assess the steady impoverishment of communities in accordance to abiotic conditions.","AbstractOtherLang":"En 1995, devant l'importante régression de tous les peuplements végétaux, nous avons proposé un nouveau type de suivi, reposant sur des données quantitatives. Les taxons suivis intègrent 3 espèces de phanérogames et 5 genres d'algues. Au total, 31 transects de 100 m par 1 m ont été définis sur le pourtour des étangs de Berre et de Vaïne. Pour chaque taxon, le recouvrement est évalue tous les 5 m² (soient 20 mesures le long du transect) et la fréquence est donnée par le nombre d'occurrence sur les surfaces unitaires de 5 m². Une synthèse de ces données exprimée sous la forme d'un indice d'abondance moyenne est alors proposée, permettant de chiffrer, au niveau de chaque transect, l'importance d'un taxon.
