The mesozooplankton community was dominated by the calanoid copepods <i>Acartia</i> spp. and <i>Temora longicornis</i>,the cladoceran <i>Evadne nordmanni</i> and the appendicularian <i>Oikopleura dioica</i>. The suprabenthos community was dominated by mysidacea <i>Schistomysis kervillei</i> and <i>Mesopodopsis slabberi</i>, and cumacea <i>Diastylis bradyi</i> and <i> Pseudocuma longicornis</i>. The demersal zooplankton was dominated by larvae of crustacea and larvae of fishes. The semi-diurnal tidal current was the dominant factor in determining the short-term temporal variations of zooplankton and suprabenthos communities in terms of density and species composition. Maximum densities were observed for most zooplankton species (e.g. <i>Temora longicornis</i> and <i>Evadne nordmanni</i>) around high tide. Diurnal variations were only reported for cyclopoid copepods. Most species exhibited vertical migrations at diel periods. However tidal vertical migrations were also reported for a few species. In the bottom boundary zone, the suprabenthos and the demersal zooplankton performed also vertical migrations, especially at two critical moments: dawn and dusk. The dynamics of spatio-temporal variations, the distribution and retention of <i>Pleurobrachia pileus</i> in Seine estuary has also been studied in detail.","AbstractOtherLang":"Basé sur un total de 1297 échantillons mésozooplanktoniques et suprabenthiques récoltés en mai-juin au début des année 1990 dans stations de la baie Seine, les compositions faunistique et les variations spatio-temporelles à court-terme du zooplankton et du suprabenthos ont été étudiées. La communauté mésozooplanktonique est dominée par les copépodes calanoïdes <i>Acartia</i> spp. et <i>Temora longicornis</i>, le cladocère <i>Evadne nordmanni</i> et l'appendiculaire <i>Oikopleura dioica</i>. La communauté suprabenthique est dominée par les mysidacés <i>Schistomysis kervillei</i> et <i>Mesopodopsis slabberi</i>, et les cumacés <i>Diastylis bradyi</i> et <i> Pseudocuma longicornis</i>. Le zooplankton démersal est dominé par les larves de crustacés et de poissons. Les courants de marée semi-diurne sont le facteur dominant déterminant les variations temporelles à court-terme des communautés zooplanktonique et suprabenthique terme de densité et de composition faunistique. Les densités maximales sont observées pour la plupart des espèces planktoniques autour de la pleine mer. Des variations nycthémérales ont été rapportées chez les copépodes cyclopoïdes. La majorité des espèces planktoniques présentent des migrations verticales à périodicité nycthémérale. Cependant quelques espèces effectuent aussi des migrations tidales. Près du fond, le suprabenthos et le zooplankton démersal montrent aussi des migrations verticales, surtout à deux moments privilégiés: l'aube et le crépuscule.
