(Nematoda: Desmodoridae), are described from hydrothermal vents of the Pacific. The genus <i>Desmodora</i> is revised and lists of valid species are provided; four subgenera are reinstated as genera; <i>Xenodesmodora</i> is regarded as genus inquirendum.
