This species is now recorded for the first time from France, where it represents the first true freshwater mysid. Temporal and spatial characteristics of this invasion point to a combination of hydrodynamic and anthropogenic modes of dispersal, which may favour a rapid colonization of the net of navigable inland waterways in France. <i>Limnomysis</i> appears as an omnivorous species in laboratory, but stomach contents indicate that the animals are essentially herbivorous and detritivorous in nature. From known bionomical data, no important effect is expected on the invaded freshwaters at ecosystem level.","AbstractOtherLang":"Des populations danubiennes du Mysidacé ponto-caspien <i>Limnomysis benedeni</i> Czerniavsky, 1882, après avoir dépassé le canal Main-Danube, ont envahi rapidement le bassin du Rhin. Cette espèce est signalée, pour la première fois en France, pays dont la faune d'eau douce ne comprenait jusqu'à présent aucune espèce de Mysidacés. Les caractéristiques spatio-temporelles de cette invasion suggèrent l'implication de facteurs aussi bien hydrodynamiques qu'anthropogéniques, ce qui laisse prévoir une colonisation relativement rapide du réseau fluvial navigable de la France. L' étude du régime alimentaire de <i>L. benedeni</i> révèle que l'espèce est omnivore au laboratoire, mais essentiellement herbivore et détritivore dans la nature.
