Deze componenten worden dimensieloos weergegeven onder de vorm van een sleepcoëfficiënt C<sub>D</sub>, een dwarskrachtcoëfficiënt C<sub>V</sub> en een momentscoëfficiënt C<sub>M</sub>. Ze zijn allen afhankelijk van de oriëntatie van de kubus, het Reynoldsgetal en de turbulentie-intensiteit. <br><br> De coëfficiënten die bekomen zijn uit meetresultaten worden vergeleken met de waarden uit de literatuur. De grootte van C<sub>D</sub> verschilt 5 à 15 % al naargelang hij bekomen is uit proeven bij constante snelheid of bij versnelling. Versnelling levert systematisch lagere waarden. Aangezien C<sub>V</sub> bij de drie basisoriëntaties van de kubus, ongeveer nul is, is de dwarskracht bij benadering nul.
