Voor het tweedimensionaal gedeelte worden ze enkel vermeld. Volgens de werkwijze van eindige aangroeiingen geven we op het einde van dit hoofdstuk de vijf vergelijkingen weer (drie voor het tweedimensionale deel en twee voor het ééndimensionaal gedeelte). Het differentieschema wordt eveneens vermeld. Uit die vergelijkingen halen we de snelheden en de waterhoogten, de vergelijkingen staan in de expliciete vorm uitgedrukt.<br><br>Het volgend hoofdstuk (derde) behandelt de methode gevolgd door de heren ir.G.Claeys en ir.H.Holsters. Deze heren hebben een zeer elegante methode ontwikkeld voor het berekenen van de getijden in de Schelde. Deze methode, die mooi het onderscheid maakt tussen droge en natte punten, wordt op het einde van dit hoofdstuk in fortran-notaties omgezet.<br><br>Hoofdstuk vier test dan op een proefkanaal, met rechthoekige doorsnede, deze methode. Tevens wordt de koppeling tussen het één- en het tweedimensionale deel nagegaan.<br><br>In het vijfde hoofdstuk worden al de gegevens, nodig om de berekeningen in de Schelde te doen, verzameld.<br><br>Het was voor mij onmogelijk om de berekeningen in de Schelde zelf uit te voeren. Het is voor één persoon te veel werk zulk een eindwerk (de Schelde inbegrepen) tot een goed einde te brengen.<br><br>Het doel van het eindwerk is: nagaan of de methode Claeys-Holsters toepasbaar is, gebruik makend van matrices. We zullen daarom die methode testen in een proefkanaal.
