In the beginning of the 90’s, a high number of parameters will be measured by ERS-I and TOPEX-POSEIDON. Unfortunately there is no insurance that a measurement tool in the colour of the sea would be launched. Furthermore, the majority of the existing instruments of interest of oceanography, and possibly new ones (high spectral resolution radiometers, multi-frequency laser radar…), will be mounted on polar platforms of the COLUMBUS programme. We already start to study how o establish an world organisation of operational oceanographic satellites.","AbstractOtherLang":" L'utilisation des techniques spatiales en océanographie est au troisieme stade de son évolution: après les développements techniques et algorithmiques des années 70 et du début des années 80, les données existantes ont permis des observations quantitatives de divers paramètres océaniques (on citera par exemple la variabilité mésoéchelle de la circulation ou la variabilité saisonniere du contenu pigmentaire des eaux de surface); on cherche maintenant à utiliser les nouvelles données conjointement à d'autres pour contraindre des modèles dynamiques ou biogéochimiques de l'océan. Au début des années 90, un grand nombre de paramètres vont être mesurés par ERS-l et TOPEX-POSElDON. II n'y a malheureusement pas d'assurance qu'un instrument de mesure de la couleur de la mer soit lancé. Ultérieurement, la plupart des instruments existants d'intérêt pour l'océanographie, et éventuellement de nouveaux (radiomètres à haute résolution spectrale, radars imageurs multifréquences...), seront embarqués sur les plateformes polaires du programme COLUMBUS.
