The importance of salt mash creeks as a nursery for postlarval Common Shrimp was investigated by: - comparing stomach fullness of incoming and outgoing postlarvae - examining stomach contents of shrimp predators, Seabass and Common Gobies, for shrimp postlarvae to assess predation pressure in the marsh-creeks. - determining the duration of their stay through the comparison of the observed and the expected size-frequency distribution

Data on stomach content and length of postlarval common shrimps in Het verdronken land van Saeftinghe was investigated. Also, the stomach content of predators was analysed to assess predation pressure.
