Description The wormlike tube feet (podia) are arranged in two rows in each ambulacrum, protruding from the pore-pairs. Their thin wall function as a surface for gaseous exchange. Their distal end is developed as a sucking disc and contains sensory organs. The tubes of the podia are very extensible. Test diameter with spines 45 mm; Cape Town, South Africa.
