Abstract
In this paper we report the discovery of 3 specimens of Yoldia limatula on the Belgian beach. This is the second find in the North Sea (Europe) of this non-indigenous species, originating from de American east coast. The Belgian specimens were discovered after a storm on the beach of Koksijde, 2 specimens (length 4.5 cm and 4.6 cm), on September 30, 2020, a third specimen (length 4.7 cm), was discovered on October 4, 2020. The length suggests that a (small?) subtidal population lives sornewhere off the Belgian coast (off Koksijde - Nieuwpoort), in a suitable habitat of mud or muddy sand.
