Limited Atlas of the Belgian Part of the North Sea Citation Description The limited atlas gives an overview of the most important uses of the Belgian part of the North Sea. For each activity, there is a map and explanatory text. The atlas includes the following maps: division of the maritime zones in the North Sea according to the law of the sea; Belgian maritime zones in the North Sea; sand and gravel extraction; dredging; industrial waste sites, war munitions, military exercises; main shipping routes and vessel traffic separation schemes along the Belgian coast; Operational ship-borne pollution (1991-1995) and pollution-combating zones in the Belgian part of the North Sea; pipelines in the maritime area within Belgian jurisdiction; important bird areas.
