The focus lies on the Belgian Coastal Zone (BCZ). The database includes almost 300 sampling locations and more than 3000 sampling events. Those resulted in more than 300,000 phytoplankton cell count records. The values cover a period from 1968 up to 1978 and 1994 to 2010. Data from late '60 and '70 were digitized from original reports and thesis.
