Abstract
    The author comments on some prehistoric and medieval artefacts he has found in the course of many years during beach combing in De Panne, North Sea coast of Belgium and a single find in northern France (see photographs). Silex and ceramics have been found. Some artefacts are connected to local sea salt harvesting in the late Neolithic andRoman period.
