Abstract
Marine Fungi of India provides the reader a comprehensive introduction to marine fungi ofthe world and the Indian coast. Marine Fungi of India contains a detailed introduction, extensive literature review, and an up-to-date reference list. The bulk of Marine Fungi of India details 208 species in 139 genera of Indian marine fungi in taxonomic groups, viz. Chytridiomycota, Ascomycota, Basidiomycota, mitosporic fungi and fungus-like organisms such as the Thraustochytrids. Each species is provided with a taxonomic citation, detailed description, drawings and photomicrographs, collection data and substrates they grown on. In some genera, keys are provided to species, while Marine Fungi of India concludes with a key to the identification of all taxa recorded for India and a table listing the distribution and substrata on which these fungi grown on.
