| Abstract |
The finding of a beached shell of Otina ovata (Brown, 1827) is reported from S’Archittu (Santa Caterina Pittinuri, Oristano, Sardinia). This is the first record of O. ovata from the Mediterranean Sea. The Mediterranean records of this species by Monterosato, as Otina otis (Turton, 1819), were based on a different species, as subsequently corrected by Monterosato himself. |
