| Abstract |
The gut content of an irregular sea urchin Spatangus purpureus, collected off the Egadi Islands in Sicily was taken for analysis. This was limited to an inventory of the molluscs present in the sediment ingested by the echinoderm. The analysis showed the presence of 23 species of gastropods, 21 species of bivalves and 1 species of polyplacophoran for a total of more than 80 individuals. |
