Abstract
The nudibranch Trapania tartanella (von Ihering, 1886), Family Goniodorididae, is reported for the first time from off the Mediterranean coast of Israel. A single specimen was photographed in the Bay of Haifa at a depth of 30m on an artificial reef formed by the "Scire", the remains of a sunken Italian submarine. It seems to be the first record of this Mediterranean & Eastern-Atlantic species from the Levenatine Sea.
