| Abstract |
The Southem North Sea basin is separated from tbe shelf of the Northern North Sea by a billy line directed East-West, South of which great amounts of detritic materials were accumnlated, especially during quaternary regressions. Some of the banks in the Southern North Sea got formed from these detritic materials during the flandrian transgression. Some others are erosional forms in older structures. The stages of the flandrian transgression as also the modifications of inlandsis and rivers during this period are described. |
