| Abstract |
Since its first appearance on the Belgian coast in January 2019, the dwarf surf clam or coot clam Mulinia lateralis, an alien bivalve, proves to establish itself along the eastern part of the coastline, from Ostend eastward (fig.3 & table 1). At first glance it seems not to compete with the native cut through shell Spisula subtruncata (fig.4 & table 2). |
