Abstract
    A new subspecies of Cylinder bengalensis (Okutani, 1968) has been discovered in waters of Teluk Saleh, Sumbawa Island, Province Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia and is hereby described as Cylinder bengalensis sumbawaensis subsp. nov. This new taxon superficially resembles the nominate species C. bengalensis, Cylinder gloriamaris (Chemnitz, 1777) and Leptoconus eduardi (Delsaerdt, 1997).
