Abstract
    Sea anemones, particularly the genus Bunodosoma, exhibit remarkable adaptations to intertidal environments, including desiccation tolerance and temperature regulation. While primarily sessile, some species display limited movement and diverse reproductive strategies, including sexual and asexual methods such as fission and budding. This study documents the first observation of asexual budding in Bunodosoma cangicum in its natural habitat at the Pacoti River estuary, Brazil. This rare finding, potentially a regenerative response to injury, highlights the ecological significance of budding in harsh intertidal zones, offering genetic stability and reproductive advantages. Further research is needed to explore the implications of this reproductive strategy for population dynamics and species survival.
