Abstract
Foraminifera essentially represented by Protoelphidium paralium present a proportion of malformations (growth rate and calcification mode) and are subjected to attack by a parasite. It seems that the pollution caused by the stranding of Amoco Cadiz , in an environment already unfavorable to the development of Foraminifera, might have an effect on the pathology of these Foraminifera.
