| Abstract |
Based on age distribution of 660 specimens of plaice, P. platessa L, caught in the outer basin of Borgenfjorden, a considerable decrease of the stock is indicated. From the material examined, 19% was 11-20 yrs old, 21% 21-30 yrs, and 2% was older than 30 yrs. The yr class 1966 was considerably greater than the other classes. This might be correlated with the special hydrographic conditions and high densities of zooplankton that yr. |
