Abstract
    A new species of genus Amphidromus Albers, 1850 is described from Banten area, Java Island of Indonesia and compared to four other species of this genus: Amphidromus webbi babiensis Laidlaw, 1954, Amphidromus banksi Butot 1900, Amphidromus perversus perversus var. borneensis Pilsbry, 1900 and Amphidromus enganoensis Fulton, 1896. It is characterized by swollen body whorl, prominent spiral band and axial stripes that are coalescent, forming large blotches.
