| Abstract |
A new species of the mycetoporine genus Parabolitobius Li, Zhao & Sakai, 2000, P. macropterus sp. nov., is described from Meiling National Forest Park, Jiangxi Province, East China, which represents the second confirmed species of this group in the country. The new species is characterized by the parameres of the aedeagus distinctly exceeding the median lobe—a condition similar to those found in P. prolongatus (Sharp, 1888), distributed in Japan. However, P. macropterus sp. nov. can be readily separated by the black coloration of the pronotum, significantly longer elytra, and fully developed hind wings. |
