Abstract
    The mandate of the Committee on the Status of Eendangered Wildlife in Canada is to determine the status of species, subspecies and populations at risk at the national level in Canada. The Wildlife Branch on the Ministry of Environment is mandated to determine the status of species in British Columbia. The processes and criteria used by each organization to determine status and the results of those determinations are described.
